Carnival shoes are the funniest shoes I’ve ever seen so far. And I have seen a lot lately. Most of the carnival shoes are made out of recycled materials but there are some that are produced from clean materials in factories around the world. The original clown shoes are most often produced from clean materials in factories. Some designers go a step further in designing funny shoes and start using all sorts of materials, such as: wood, plastic bottles, organic materials, cow feces, chewing gum etc.

There are factories around the world that produce top quality carnival shoes made from leather and rubber. Leather goes through many fining procedures and it’s being cleaned to top quality. Carnival shoes can be very simple with different type of colors or can be decorated with millions of decorative materials which can also be made out of plastic, glass or some recycled materials.

People in circuses sometimes create funny recycled shoes and sell them to the visitors or small children. Often they are very cheap because the quality is very low and they will mostly fall apart in a week of active wearing or so. But there are some top quality circus shoes that are produced from wood, leather and rubber and they are sold for high prizes because they are long lasting, handmade and very unique, so unique that you will probably not find any similarities with any other shoe, because of the creativity of the people who make them.

In Africa because of the poverty, many people are wearing shoes that are made out of two plastic bottles with some laces tied up on them. Beside the fact that’s the only way they can secure their feet, the shoes they wear are very funny, and most of the kids just call them funny shoes. When they got exposure, many carnival people started wearing carnival shoes and the sound they leave on the street is very loud squeaking. Some go even further and make them in different shiny colors and tie up very colorful shoe laces on them. I can find funny shoes almost in every culture around the world and it is very good to buy a pair of each, so u can be very unique and funny on some local carnival or party you will visit.
